#3 Michigan State Upset by Virginia Tech

Yesterday in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational #3 ranked Michigan St. was upset by unranked Virginia Tech.  This was a close game throughout.  Midway through the second-half, VT stretched it's lead out to 10pts and MSU began to answer back.  The two teams traded baskets and it appeared the game was still in reach for the #3 ranked team in the nation.  That was until VT freshman Landers Nolley II (great name btw) drilled a three with under 1 minute remaining in the game.  Nolley II was undoubtedly the MVP of the game leading all scorers with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Although it is early VT is undefeated and we could look at this team to be strong all year. Nobody saw this upset coming and I truly believe the Michigan State fans deserve an apology!

This is Michigan State's second loss of the season.  Hopes were high coming into the season for Sparty and nobody expected them to have 2 losses this early on, but I do not believe this is a sign of things to come.  I'd imagine that MSU will still be vying for a #1 seed come tournament time.

Also, hasn't Cassius Winston been at Michigan St. for like 8 years? I feel like he's been a senior the last 3 seasons.  It's Perry Ellis all over again
