Sixers Come Up Short Against the Raptors Despite Embiid's Huge Night

Last night in the NBA we had a matchup of Eastern Conference titans when the Philadelphia 76ers traveled to Toronto to take on the Raptors. Toronto was able to defeat Philly 101-96 lead by a 25pt performance from Pascal Siakam.  Philadelphia fought hard and trailed by just one point heading into the fourth quarter.  A lackluster performance in the fourth quarter resulted in the 76ers demise.

The one main take away from this game was that Joel Embiid is without a doubt one of the best big-men in the NBA.  Embiid played 33 minutes and logged an impressive 0-11 from the field with 0 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 turnovers. ZERO POINTS... not great.

I suppose maybe he just didn't trust the process enough? Or maybe he just didn't show up in a big game.  Either way, Sixer fans have to be worried about their "star" big man.  It will be very difficult for the Sixers moving forward this year if they do not have consistent play from the center position as Embiid has been relied on heavily when this team succeeds.  It's all fun and games when he's leading the team to the playoffs and making those Hulu commercials with piles of money until he scores 0pts and no one believes he's worth that money anymore. Best of luck Philly!
